Changes During Menopause Increases Risk of Heart Disease and Stroke

Check out this article from ScienceDaily.com---nothing really new here, it's been believed for many years that estrogen protects women from heart disease when they are younger (premenopausal), so it stands to reason that as a woman ages and loses estrogen (not all women lose most of their estrogen----I'm a prime example as I am estrogen dominant) their chances of cardiovascular problems increase. Balancing your hormones (bioidentically, of course, and under the care of a practitioner who knows what he/she is doing) goes way beyond alleviating menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, fatigue, etc), hormones affect every system in the body.
