Women and Depression, Part I

It's well known that depression affects more women than men, and it is also well known that hormones play a significant role in depression. Sadly, I am finding out how many women, when they try to talk to their doctors about peri/menopause issues, especially hormone balance, are handed a prescription for an antidepressant as a way to get them out of an office quickly.
