Got Vitamin D?

From the Albany Times Union newspaper. Vitamin D, by the way, is not a vitamin, but is considered a prohormone-----it's a substance that converts into a hormone. We're just now realizing the importance of this vitamin to overall health.

  1. My Dr. just recommended Vit.D as well as DHEA, Calcium, B-12 and Melatonin. I am peri-menopausal at the age of 49 with sleep disturbances, mood swings, depression, hot flashes and night sweats. The worst part for me is the fuzzy feeling in my head and depression that causes me to feel sad and worthless. I cry a lot. My Doc had me send in a saliva test this week and evaluating my hormone levels for use of Bhrt. I am excited to get my old self back. Thank you for the blog- I read it daily and it has been a great help to me in making my decision to accept my need for intervention for my menopause symptoms. Julez
